Meet Melody

Melody is a phenomenally talented, seasoned Curandera/Folk Medicine Woman, Diviner, Reiki Master/Teacher, Licensed Massage Therapist, Espiritista and Metaphysical Educator with roots in the local medicine of the Hudson Valley and Afro-Taino Folk Caribbean campo culture, medicine and magic. She specializes in body work, emotional release, spiritual hygiene, energy healings, ritual, spiritual aligning and shamanic work, with years of training in Eastern (TCM) Ayurvedic, Afro-diasporic and various forms of Indigenous rooted Holistic Medicine. She inherited gifts from both family lines and held psychic, intuitive, empathic healing gifts since childhood, carrying innate ingenuity in connecting with energies, spirits, realms and beings alike.  

Melody began training and certification in similar modalities she practiced in childhood, long before social media or the internet, when training and rights of passage took years to attain mastership and when spirituality and healing were not mainstream. She possesses over 20 years professional experience and over 35 years training.  Much of her work is centered on assisting others to feel more aligned on their journey, highlighting then treating the root to disharmony. Her work focuses on the deeper reasons to our ailments, the spirit realm, locked emotions, inherited and age calculated trauma, elements, spirit connection, chakras, energy and alchemizing pain into power, fusing Metaphysical, Holistic & Medical sciences to create restorative balance for the mind, body, spirit.

She is a Licensed Holistic Body Worker and New York State Licensed Massage Therapist, Usui Reiki Master/Teacher, ORDM, Multi-certified in Acupressure, Shiatsu, Aromatherapy, Medicinal and Magical Herbs, Applied Kinesiology, Chakra Healing, Ethereal Surgery, Polarity and Flower Essence Therapy, Body Mapping, Astrology and Sound Frequency Healing. She’s a Certified Crystal Clinician, an Emotional Diffusion Therapist offering her medicine to Holistic Clinics and Spas for over 20 years, earning 5 star reviews, assisting 40,000 plus on their journeys. Additionally, she offers intuitive readings, passed down by her maternal great-grandmother. She provides forms of rootwork, spiritual quadrant assistance, chakra analysis and balancing, ancestor elevation guidance, workshops, candle alchemy, spiritual baths, cleansings, chord cuttings, rompimientos, magical oils, resguardos, crystal prescriptions, medicine bags, handmade beaded, soaked, blessed spiritual jewelry, hand poured candles and more.

She's a Tribal member of the Taino of the Caribbean, B.O.T.A and ABMP. She has ceremony, training in Lukumi, a Priestess of Mayombe, yet focuses soley on her family’s ancestral roots and crowning in The 21 Divisions/Dominican Vodou and Indigenous Animism.

Melody is a Hudson Valley NY Native, most her childhood spent barefoot on Lenape land and summers surrounded by fruit trees in Miami and Kiskeya. She graduated Hudson Valley School of Massage Therapy in 04’ as a single mom with a Neosoul Recording Artist and Poetry side career. She’s been noticed for her work in magazines, newsletters and podcasts. She offers services in Rhinebeck, Poughkeepsie and selected remote offerings. She advocates unplugging from social media and connecting to nature and spirit. She was raised in a spiritually diverse family of musicians, healers, artists, agriculturists, teachers, seers, revolutionists and activists. Her upbringing, training, ceremonies and life experience shaped her into the gifted Medicine Woman and activist she is for preservation of BIPOC culture, spirituality preservation of indigenous land, water, our planet and marginalized peoples upliftment and empowerment.
